My First Pair Of New Balance
New Balance X Jeff Staple "Pigeon" Paris, France Release. Since I haven't seen the report of Paris' realase, I decided to make one with just a little sum of pictures I got. I came to Colette around 22:30 the day before the release, and already there were 2 people waiting in front, the Huarache guy and the Rubic Cube guy (I know their names, but I don't want to mention them. Privacy first). We waited. We decided to make a waiting list. We waited. Since the Mini Colette is located in front of Paris 1st District's Police Comission Office, we were told to move our asses a little bit to the side, and we had visits from them time to time. We waited. Around 01:00 the Cool Bike and Tees guy came. He's the fourth and the last guy until 05:00. We waited. As the sun began to rise, the Subway's began to open, people came one by one until the list was filled.
11:45. Our wait was almost over, after my 13 hours of wait and a few minutes of sleep. People made a line in front of the shop, following the list that we have made. more than 15 persons waited in the line. Here's the thing. A priori, there had to be 12 pairs of these Piegons for every shop which were chosen to release them. Along the wait, we heard rumors that there were only 8 pairs, and the sizes are only 10 to 12. And when the shop opened, the sellers confirmed the rumors and told us that there were only 6 pairs in Paris, France. OK. First 6 guys got their pairs which were sized 10 to 12. Only the third guy (me) and the fourth guy got their sizes. After 6 pairs came out, the sellers brought out another 2 boxes which were sized 9.5 and 10. After I asked the guy, he explained that the last 2 pairs were planned to be put in the shop unless the demand of the 1st day were not high enough. Bad plan.
That's about it. I got my size. The night after, I went to eBay and looked up the pair, and somebody put a $ 1.000 for it. But I got it for 90 €. Here's a few pics.
